Info

Joshua Aaron Webb was born in a mineshaft in the coalfields of Eastern Kentucky. His mother went into labor four miles below surface working her regular midnight shift at the local mine. The foreman on the job served as her midwife and managed a successful delivery. She carried Joshua out in a coal bucket and named him three years later.

Joshua went on to study Video Production at the prestigious Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. In 2006, he left Appalachia to attend The New York Film Academy in NYC. After a year of film school, Joshua used his education to work as a full-time bartender and part-time production PA. In 2011, he worked as an Assistant Editor at Grey NY. After five years of earning his AE stripes, he got antsy and decided to head West! Grey SF picked him up as a staff Video Editor, then he eased North to Portland where he’s been freelancing ever since.

Joshua is an award winning Film Editor that has worked with top agencies in both staff and freelance roles. He’s always eager to bring his experience and creativity into every project thrown his way. When overwhelming amounts of footage back him into a corner, he pulls up his bootstraps and edits his way out. Feel free to call him Josh over Joshua.
